Lake toba :D @ Tuesday, July 16, 2013
After sepiso piso waterfall. I took a mini van again to Siantar (IDR15,000) for transit to jetty which cost another IDR15,000 with nicer air conditional van.
To go in to lake toba - tuk tuk by slow ferry for IDR10,000. Very nice scenery
I was too exhausted because of the long journey and a few times of transit! Well, just nice to stop at lake toba to chillax!
Lake toba in front of Reggae guest house. Listen to the wave when u sleep at night :D (weather is not decent at all)
My 1st meal in Lake Toba - Jenny's! only cost IDR 40,000 .. super cheap for the whole fish with side dishes
Another view.
Basically nothing much you can do in lake toba, no one else is there not even locals. No public transport at all! You have to hired someone and bring you around or rent a motorbike and go around on your own. IDR70,000 per day with petrol.
Just for food and chillax is fine.
I like this place a lot because its quiet and peaceful.
Mount Sibayak @
Really a nice journey. And it's really easy to go just need to be extra becareful.
To go up. Take a bus IDR4000, entrance fee IDR4000. Then another 7km to walked up to the main entrance. You can hire a guide which cost IDR250,000
It was exhausted for me because I did not prepared myself at all. But it was all worth it :D

My Solo Indonesia Trip 13 June to 5 July @
I was a little depressed about my life.. very dull and not painting with beautiful colour.
Therefore, i tell myself that 'I need to do something about it'. What a coincidences, I bought the flight ticket from AA, it was during the super promotion. There you go.. my trip was from Medan - Surabaya - Bali - Lombok for 3 weeks.
Many of my friends asked me why Indonesia? hmm why not? its beautiful country with many famous volcano mountain too.
So, I started to plan my trip right after my contract with Maxis. Checked all the destination from www.cari.com and couch surfing website. My intention was to know the local and live like the local. Therefore I wrote to a few of the Couch Surfers in Medan, Surabaya and Bali.
I was too excited about my trip because its Indonesia.
Day 1.
Arrived in Medan airport. I am going to Berastagi by mini van at Padang Bulan which is kinda far from the airport. Too expensive to take a cab so I hired a motorbike which cost me only IDR25,000 to Padang Bulan.
This is the mini van to Berastagi (IDR15,000) 3 hours
Not so comfortable but acceptable.
Hostel - Wisma Sibayak. Only IDR50,000 per night. I was there for 3 days 2 nights
It was kinda early so decided to walk around in the city. Well, the weather wasn't too nice because of global warming. Cloudy and windy. Not the forget! It's freezing there.
I went to Gundaling hill by mini bus which cost only IDR5000. In fact, wasn't a good idea to go up because it was so foggy and u barely see any nice view!
I met a nice family up there. So nice of them to offer me their food and drinks while we waiting for rain stop. They are so curious why am I here alone. Why I choose to travel solo? And claims that I am a brave girl! Well, they also told me not so safe to travel solo in Indonesia. In fact, same as Malaysia!
The family
Simply Nasi Padang from them :D
Cold n windy! I barely see anything!
We are at Gundaling Hill
This is one of the Buddhist temple by Burmese.
So... Mt Sibayak for next day!
Kaffa cafe TTDI @ Monday, July 15, 2013

Maldives @ Friday, March 01, 2013
It's Maldives! My dream's place that I never have the guts to even dream.
Well! Maldives = expensive, luxury, honeymoon- these is all the words that u could think of .. In fact, it's not that expensive if u are a smart traveller!
Why are we always have the thoughts that Maldives is expensive? The truth is - most of them paid for luxury resort like W resort, shangrila, Sheraton, etc. it cost about rm2000 per night! So, think about it!
We arrived at 10pm in Maldives international airport :D the sea it's already very crystal clear! The airport is on an island itself!
Jetty to Male
Our 1st meal in Male city- it's only cost rm11 for 4 pax!
Well, I think many of you did not know actually Maldives it an Islam country. Basically, food are similar to Malaysian food. Besides that, women need to wear proper clothes like long sleeve, long dress - even for travelers unless u are in inhabitant island.
This place it's near somewhere our guest house- luckihiya which only cost usd 75 per night! It's cheap if you share with your mate! Mind you, it's cheapest in town!
On the boat for sunset! USD 37 per pax for sunset cruise
Romantic
Not to forget, we saw dolphins too :D
There u go on my 2nd day in Maldives
@ Saturday, February 16, 2013
Wow, its been awhile..
really a while.
took me awhile to built a confident again to update my blog again. Its been very lazy to do so as my age growing up.
Well, i am good.. been travel around in Malaysia, SEA in these 2 years (2012 and 2013). I gave up my corporate job in MyDEAL.com.my and rest at home.
What did I do while i am at home? I can tell you now that i sit at home, looking at my parents and cook. Believe it! I am utilising my holiday with my parents. Why? I worked day and night everyday. In fact, I do not really meet my parents at home. Morning, they went for Tai Chi and I went to work. Night, I came home and parents already in their dreamland.
Barely know nothing about their daily routine!
Other than I am over-stressed at work, parents are one of the reason. Therefore, I decided to resigned.
I am happy. Fullfilled..
It is not easy being *in-between-job*. I got into mild depression though. Everything that i do without passionate. Even though i wake up every morning without thinking of 'oh man, do i need to work?
That leads me to have a thought that .. oh Hui Wen, why not go on a diet plan since you are not working? its time for you to rebuild your image! to build a new you!
I gotta share some of my experience of how to lose weight in a healthy way.
At the mean time, still midst of compiling my pictures.

Myanmar Trip @ Friday, January 25, 2013
After all this*in-between-job* crap. After *crap* job in Malaysia no.1 Telco company. I got released :)
I feels like i worked for them for about a decade!
well. I manage to escape to Myanmar to see the world again. Its been a long time after my Boracay trip - September with my best friend *bibi* & *an an*
Originally that me n Chen Fong are going to Myanmar together for 5 days. I kind of like very determined that it must be a extreme budget trip- but the travel partner giving me too much of stress by being not budget or wanted to take flight to the north where it can be done by bus which is way cheaper. =(
(yes, i cannot take such a stress after being *in-between-job*)
Day 1 - Flight was about 745am. I was awake till the destination.. A long the way i chat with a 'Ipoh mari' girl named Sue (Soo) about the sky and the earth.. So, we both agreed to why not travel together in Myanmar since it is extremely expensive.. it end up cheap.
Sue and Felicia they are travel partner.
at the mean time, we checked taxi fare to bus station to go to Bagan. Suddenly, 2 boys approached us and asked if they can join us! so we were like.. oh why not! the more the merrier!
Our taxi ride: 22,000 Kyat/6.. to Bagan 18,000 Kyat
We had a few hours to kill before the ride to Bagan. so here we are! Shwedagon Pagoda USD5 :)
Next Bagan.
